PONTELAND based solicitors Major Family Law has been awarded with founder membership of exclusive nationwide organisation, QualitySolicitors.com

Quality Solicitors is the UK's first national organisation to combat so-called “Tesco Law” promoting the use of registered solicitor practices over the new trend for legal advice to be provided by supermarkets and banks.

It has initially selected just 100 top solicitors nationwide to form the founder membership and has chosen Major Family Law as the first specialist family law firm in the region.

Quality Solicitors was set up to help small to medium sized firms prepare for the challenges posed by the Legal Services Act, which will allow organisations such as supermarkets to offer legal services.

It will match users of its free service to the best high quality solicitor for their particular need.

Its innovative website, www.qualitysolicitors.com aims to address all possible legal needs by including extensive legal resources, DIY documents, online legal advice, as well as referring users to the telephone legal advice service from consumer organisation, Which?

Joanne Major of Major Family Law, which was established at the turn of the year, said: “I am delighted that our high quality of service has been recognised and we have been accepted into this exclusive organisation.

“To be the only specialist family law firm in the region on the membership list is a real coup, especially as our practice has just recently been launched.
