YOUR local WI would like to invite you to tea on Sunday, June 12, from 2pm to 4.30pm.
The WI will be celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday with a pooled afternoon tea in Falstone Village Hall. Please bring a plate of savoury and a plate of sweet to share.
A NEW youth drop-in centre is starting at the United Reformed Church, in Falstone, on the third Friday of each month.
The first session will be on June 17, from 7pm to 10pm. There will be table tennis, pool, Wii games, darts, table games etc.
The sessions are open to all young people aged 11 and over and there will be burgers, hot dogs, drinks and cakes for sale.
It is hoped that young people from Kielder will be able to make the sessions. You are welcome, also, to give your suggestions about other activities you would like to see.
THE Blackcock leek show is holding its prize bingo, with light refreshments and raffle, tonight at the Blackcock Country Inn, Falstone. The event starts at 8pm.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped at the weed and clean day at St Peter’s Church, Falstone, on Saturday.
THERE will be a family service on Sunday, at 11am at St Peter’s, Falstone. It will be a relaxed, all-age service, which will be taken by the Rev. Sheila Cameron.
NEXT Friday, June 3, sees the latest BAA Club, featuring Hadrian’s Union. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
