CALVERT Trust Kielder is £5,000 better off thanks to generous customers giving away their change at petrol filling stations.
Penny Petroleum, the independent petrol filling station operator, has been running a public collection box campaign, placing collection boxes across 33 of its petrol forecourts in North England and Scotland.
The donation to Calvert Trust Kielder will be spent supporting people with disabilities, together with their families and friends, to achieve and enjoy outdoor adventure activities.
Charlotte Gaunt, fundraiser for Calvert Trust Kielder, said: "Penny Petroleum's donation shows a real commitment from both the business, its staff and customers to support disabled children and adults to enjoy the challenge of outdoor activities.
"Every year we support thousands of children and adults allowing them to explore their spirit of adventure in a safe and caring environment and we wouldn’t be able to continue our work without generous donations like this one."
