Lynn Stoker appeared before Newcastle Magistrates Court on Tuesday to face one charge of sending a letter, communication or article conveying false information.
The 59-year-old is accused of making a telephone call in Northumberland on March 3 with ‘the purpose of causing distress or anxiety to the recipient.’
Stoker, of Raw Farm House, Byrness, denies the charge and will stand trial on September 12.
