The performance of Barnaby Rudge will visit the village on Tuesday, October 3.
Based in Alnwick, the company performs in village halls all over the country, and Kirkwhelpington was chosen as the only venue in West Northumberland. The story focuses on Barnaby, a young man being drawn into the Gordon Riots of the late 18th century.
Tickets will be available on the door.
