A CHARITY has benefited from a donation of £1,200 from a North Tyne community.
Colwell Village Hall handed over the proceeds from its annual raffle and quiz night to Tynedale Hospice at Home’s Rainbow Project which offers support for children dealing with effects with pre and post bereavement.
With the support of local businesses Matt Clark Ltd and Hanson Quarries, the hall trust has supported the charity for the past three years in memory of Wall teenager Lucy Duggan who was killed in a car accident in Hexham in 2013.
This year’s £1,200 takes the total raised through the fund-raiser to £18,000 since it started 14 years ago.
