Originally stables for Otterburn Hall, the Grade II-listed building was built in 1870.
A change of use application was put forward for the building to become a hotel and restaurant and has been granted conditionally by Northumberland National Park.
As there is no restaurant facility in the area, it is hoped the development will be a welcome addition to the Otterburn Hall Estate.
The building has previously been used as a hotel and conference centre.
There are also plans for a restaurant which will be open to non-guests which the neighbouring lodges and caravan park could benefit from.
