A MOTORCYCLIST was hospitalised on Thursday after a crash on the A696.
A black Audi A1 and a BMW motorcycle collided near to the junction for Bellingham and West Woodburn on yesterday morning at around 10.15am.
The male motorcyclist suffered serious but non-lift threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, while the driver of the car was not injured.
Enquiries are ongoing and police are now appealing for any witnesses to get in touch.
Anyone who saw the collision, or saw either of the vehicles travelling on the A696 on Thursday morning, is advised to contact police on 101 quoting log 297 20/07/17.
