KIELDER Waterside has been awarded two national tourism awards by domestic holiday company Hoseasons.

The Tynedale holiday destination was crowned Go Active Breaks location of the year at the self-catering specialist’s annual Go Active Breaks conference in Scotland.

Employee Nathan Whitley scooped the second award of the night, picking up the accolade of Go Active Breaks’ new instructor of the year.

It comes just a few weeks after the park was crowned Best Large Relax and Explore destination in the North of England at Hoseasons’ 11th annual gala awards evening – an event showcasing the very best of the self-catering specialist’s lodge and holiday parks across the UK.

Head of leisure at Kielder Waterside David Hall, said: “We are incredibly proud of these awards.

“We all work incredibly hard to make sure every one of our guests has a memorable experience when they stay with us, so it’s good to know that our efforts are paying off – especially when that recognition is based
on customer feedback.”

The Go Active Breaks Location of the Year award was given to Kielder Waterside in recognition of its outstanding average rating from guests of nine out of 10, as well as a number of other measures, including its very low complaint ratio.

Go Active Breaks are perfect for families who want to try their hand at a huge range of indoor and outdoor activities at 18 countryside lodge locations across the UK.

Activities at Kielder Waterside include: archery, fencing, cycle trails, nature trails, skating and Go Juniors – a range of fun activities specifically designed for children aged three to seven.

“Kielder Waterside really is a fantastic short break destination for families who want to get active
and try their hand at something new,” said Mark Warnes, property and portfolio director at Hoseasons.

“Every member of the team is dedicated to making sure that our guests
have a great trip and they fully deserve this latest award.”
