WILDLIFE enthusiasts are being invited to join Osprey Watch in Kielder, following the highly-anticipated return of the birds to Northumberland.
Breeding pairs of ospreys have nested in Kielder between March and September since 2009.
Activity on the nests tends to be mainly throughout July and August, as the chicks hatch, are fed and then learn to fly and hunt.
People will have the chance to find out more about the birds at Osprey Watch events, which will be held every Saturday, Sunday and Monday until the birds leave in mid-August.
Visitors will join Northumberland Wildlife Trust’s newly-appointed Kielder osprey assistant, Katy Smart, and her team of volunteers at the Osprey Watch site at Kielder Waterside.
They will be able to observe the ospreys through brand new scopes and watch live streamed footage from two nests in the dedicated Osprey Watch cabin.
