DON’T forget tonight it’s film night in the village hall.

Doors open 7pm, with the film Sunshine on Leith starting about 7.15pm. Nibbles, ice cream and a range of drinks will be for sale. Pay at the door if you haven’t already bought your ticket.

TOMORROW is apple pressing at the village hall. All varieties of apples are welcome.

Donated apples will be pressed to produce juice to sell in the shop and at next week’s Humshaugh Applefest event.

ON Tuesday, October 13, at 7.30pm, Hexham Decorative and Fine Arts Society will meet in the Tynedale Function Suite at Hexham Mart.

This month a lecture entitled The Art and Architecture of Magna Carta, will be given by Jon Cannon.

Witnesses to Magna Carta surround us in the buildings and artworks of the turbulent decades that led up to 1215 and will be used to reveal the tastes of some of those involved in drafting and negotiating Magna Carta itself.
