HAVE you looked at Humshaugh shop notice board recently?

At the moment it is covered in cards from tradesmen and lots of items for sale, from motor cars to toy cars.

What is missing is news about activities within our village. There must be something happening, the village hasn’t closed down.

Please do use the notice board, and myself, to publicise new and existing interest groups and activities.

WATCH out for fliers and news about a new football team to be set up for Humshaugh young people, probably under 12 years old.

The meeting last week about setting up a football team for Humshaugh youngsters had a successful outcome, with two experienced coaches, Steve and Brian Thompson, volunteering to have an initial coaching session in early September.

Letters will be issued to the children in Humshaugh school at the beginning of next term. Children attending others schools will, of course, also be eligible to join.

HUMSHAUGH Cricket Club‘s first team will play at home tomorrow against Benwell Hill, the second team will play away against Mitford A.

Both matches start at 1.30pm and the players would welcome your support.

ANYONE fancy having a go at writing Humshaugh village notes for three weeks in October?

It’s fun, not difficult and you can give the job back. If you would like to know more, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.
