VOLUNTEERS in Wark presented a cheque to Northumbria Blood Bikes following yet another successful fund-raising lunch.
Wark Charity Lunch is a long-standing tradition in the village, with last month marking the 28th of the popular fund-raisers.
Two hundred people gathered in the town hall on May 3 to raise money for Northumbria Blood Bikes, a charity which delivers blood and other urgent medical supplies to hospitals, healthcare sites and laboratories in the North- East.
And last week, two volunteer bikers attended a WI meeting in Wark to collect a cheque for £4,400 from some of the dedicated volunteers who had cooked, washed up and served tea and coffee for the event.
