The 163rd Allendale Horticultural and Industrial show will see local growers showcase their finest flower and vegetable exhibits.
From Border carnations to African marigolds, and red cabbage to rhubarb, there will be plenty of variety on show.
The industrial section always whets the appetite of visitors from near and far with its selection of homemade produce, including girdle scones, sausage rolls, jams and chutneys.
Local artists and craftsfolk will bring their works in watercolour, oil, acrylic, pencil, photography, embroidery, and much more to the table.
More colour will be added to the mix in the form of a fancy dress parade, face painting and balloon modelling.
Chairman and secretary John Short is keen to welcome people of all ages along to the annual show, which is always a great family day out.
There will also be children’s sports and games, a scavenger hunt, raffle and a sale of exhibits.
The show opens to the public at 1pm. Exhibitors can set up from 7am, and judging will take place at 10am.
