MEMBERS of Catton Women’s Institute have breathed new life into their village with a colourful planting project.

Plants have been strategically placed as part of a national WI campaign to help boost the population of bees and other pollinators.

The plants and attractive wooden storage containers have been purchased with money raised in the community.

Last Saturday, Catton WI hosted a special coffee morning to officially launch the scheme and thank community members who had contributed.

The well-attended event, at the village hall, included a presentation from Catton WI president Margaret Robinson. Local WI advisor Moira Bengtson was also in attendance.
