Cheques for a total of £3,500 have been donated to Allendale Medical Practice and Allendale First Responders.
Every year the Co-op Retail Trading Group holds a charity awards dinner at which stores can nominate local organisations to benefit from the funds raised.
Funds from the October 2015 charity dinner have been shared between the two Allendale organisations, with £2,717 going to the medical centre and £783 to the first responders.
Allendale Medical Practice has put the funds to good use, purchasing a gynaecological chair and blood pressure monitor. Allendale First Responders will use their funds to continue their work in the community.
