But the school’s playing fields, garden area and Medway block are set to be adopted by the community.
And Allendale Pre-School Playgroup will continue to use the nursery building it currently occupies within the school grounds.
The historic school building, which closed following a reorganisation of schools in 2013, will soon be listed for sale by estate agent Bradley Hall.
A spokesman for the council said: “We would expect that it could be a residential conversion. Any future use will be subject to planning permission.”
