ALLENDALE Village Hall film club is showing The Imitation Game starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Alan Turing cracking the wartime Enigma Code. Cheese and wine at 7.15pm and curtains up at 7.45pm.

THE parish council heard last week that it’s not just in Allendale that the county council is proposing a speed reduction to 20mph throughout the village but in villages throughout Northumberland.

Various opinions were expressed both for and against but consultation continues.
