THE evening of the Queen's birthday celebrations on June 11 was a great success, raising over £1,000 for Tynedale Hospice at Home and Allendale village hall. The organiser, Sylvia Milburn, would like to thank everyone who supported it and especially Allendale Co-op and the Allendale Lions'Club.
ST. Cuthbert's church hall coffee morning will be on Saturday. I think it usually starts around 10am.
DON'T forget Catton Fair, also on Saturday, from 1pm where you can enjoy a whole host of entertainments, activities, food and drink.
ON Sunday, there'll be an open air service on Catton green at 3pm, with members of Hexham Brass. A short service will be led by Roger Anthony and tea, provided by Catton chapel, will follow in Catton village hall.
'POTS in the Byre' at Broadwood Hall will be hosting 12ceramic artists on Saturday and Sunday. There will also be a firing of the wood kiln on Saturday. Look out for further workshops and demonstrations on July 2, 3, 9 and 10.
I'M heading off for a jolly, so for the next two weeks please contact Robert Philipson on 685266 or email robert.philipson@btconnect.com or just accost him in the Market Square!
