THE Allendale Tea Dance would like to say a big thank you to the Allendale Lions Club for the generous donation that has enabled them to buy some new sound equipment. Consider it done!
SPEAKING of our local Lions Club, they’ve organised a Burns Night celebration at Allendale Village Hall tomorrow at 7pm.
There’s the traditional three-course meal and speeches plus other entertainment plus a dram or two I expect!
Party pieces are invited from the floor and kilts are encouraged.

THERE won’t be a coffee morning at St Cuthbert’s Church this month but they will hopefully start again in February.
ALLENDALE Village Hall Film Club is showing A Most Wanted Man on Monday. It’s based on a John Le Carre spy novel set in Hamburg.
Wine and refreshments available from 7.15pm and curtain’s up at 7.45pm.
