SOME areas of Tynedale are still battling to return to normal as the snow continues to melt.
Many residents in the Allen Valleys were left cut off last Wednesday, with conditions gradually beginning to improve across the weekend.
As the community rallied to clear the snow and ensure local people had access to essentials, local events including the Allendale Panto and meetings about the installation of new hyperfast broadband, had to be postponed.
Panto tickets are now being transferred to new dates on March 22, 23 and 24, while the broadband meetings will now take place at Catton Village Hall on March 25 and Allendale Village Hall on April 3.
