Jackie Charlton and Sheila Golightly raised £930 from a bake sale at the Allendale co-op.
ALLENDALE Co-op staff Jackie Charlton and Sheila Golightly have raised more than £430 after holding a ‘Bake It!’ event for Crohn’s and Colitis UK outside the store.
Staff and customers baked an array of sweet treats to raise funds and awareness for the charity.
Jackie said: “We’re thrilled with the amount we raised and would like to thank everybody who baked and bought cakes.”
The Co-op board was also pleased with the success of the event and topped up the monies raised to £500.
