Head chef Mark Percival will attempt to bake the world’s biggest Northumbrian stottie in the castle’s kitchen.
The one-metre square loaf will be stuffed with mouth-watering pease pudding, and will be sold off in sections to raise money for charity.
The stottie will be unveiled by Langley Castle owner, Dr Stuart Madnick, at 1pm tomorrow as a curtain raiser for the first Northumberland Day on Sunday.
Events will take place across the district celebrating the county’s culture, heritage, landscape, food and drink.
