A WOMAN in distress was talked down from a ledge at Crag Lough, near Steel Rigg on Hadrian's Wall, by emergency services on Tuesday.
Fire crews from Hexham and Haltwhistle, including the service's swift water rescue team, were mobilised at around 2pm after police received a report expressing concern for the welfare of the woman.
She wasn't injured in the incident but was taken to Hexham General Hospital to be checked over.
