The six servicemen and women will set out from Heddon-on-the-Wall in the morning, and tramp along the Military Road, through Harlow Hill and Wallhouses, before dropping down through Oakwood towards Hexham.
They are due to reach Hexham at approximately 4.30pm.
Town Mayor, Coun. Trevor Cessford, will be joining the team on the outskirts of the town, and will accompany them across the Tyne, to the stage finish next to Benson’s Monument in Beaumont Street.
The Walking with the Wounded charity raises awareness and funds to retrain and re-skill men and women wounded during military service.
The walk started in Scotland on August 22 and is due to finish at Buckingham Palace on November 1.
After hitting Hexham, the team will have a rest day before continuing their walk from Stanhope to Barnard Castle.
