PRIME Minister Theresa May made a surprise visit to Tynedale this morning when she met parents and children at a Heddon-on-the-Wall school.
Mrs May attended Heddon-on-the-Wall St Andrew’s CofE Primary School, and met with parents, staff and children at a parent and toddler group.
Her visit was part of a tour of the UK which is taking place on Thursday, March 29, to mark exactly one year to go until Brexit.
Brexit is due to take place at 11pm on March 29, in 2019.
