The eagerly-awaited event, on May 28, is being billed as a celebration of the county’s culture, heritage, landscape, food and drink and other strengths.
The ‘Northumbies’ will cover a wide range of categories, including best dressed village or town; most inspiring school and best community event marking Northumberland Day.
The awards themselves will be well worth displaying – for they will be designed by fused and stained glass artist Helen Grierson.
Entries for the Northumbies must be submitted by May 19. A judging panel will determine the category winners.
