POLICE are investigating after receiving reports of thefts from villages in the North Tyne.
At 8am on Friday officers received a report that tools, including a chainsaw, had been stolen from a van parked outside a house in Barrasford.
And at 8.15am, a report of a second theft from an address in Wark was logged. A quad bike and a quantity of copper were stolen.
Both of the thefts are believed to have happened overnight on Thursday and inquiries are ongoing.
A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said officers could not ruling out the possibility that the two incidents were linked.
Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area at the time is asked to contact police on 101.
