He is calling for road safety improvements on trunk road following the deaths of two women in a horrific crash at Melkridge, three weeks ago.
He said: “My strong expectation is that we will have cameras at both ends of that stretch in April 2017.
“We also have to make the case for for a 40mph speed limit there.”
Parish councillors hosted a joint meeting in Bardon Mill on Wednesday, where calls were made for a review of the road layout.
