TWO Kielder accommodation providers have won awards from national tourist board VisitEngland.

Recognition Of Service Excellence (ROSE) Awards were handed to Kielder Waterside and Calvert Trust Kielder at the Independent Hotel Show in London on Tuesday.

The awards showcase outstanding accommodation providers across the country.

Recipients of the awards cover all types of accommodation and include bed and breakfasts and guesthouses, self-catering accommodation and hotels, to campsites, glamping sites and hostels, and cover a range of quality from two to five stars.

Calvert Trust Kielder provides respite accommodation for disabled people and their family and friends in their three executive chalets, 10 Calvert chalets and 12 rooms.

Kielder Waterside, located on the edge of Kielder Reservoir, has 50 lodges on site which are designed to compliment the landscape. Earlier this year it was crowned Go Active Breaks location of the year by holiday company Hoseasons.

VisitEngland director Andrew Stokes said: “It’s great to see the diversity and quality of accommodation available across the country with each of these winners demonstrating outstanding customer service.”
