THE Queen’s Hall will be filled with the sound of laughter on Friday as some of TV’s big comedy names arrive in Hexham.

Jason Cook, award-winning comedian and writer and creator of BBC2 comedy show Hebburn, is hosting a night of laughs, bringing with him some notable characters from the industry.

Tanyalee Davis, a comedian from Canada who arrived in the UK in 2013, will make an appearance. She has stormed the UK comedy scene after earning appearances on prestigious comedy shows like Live at the Apollo, The Last Leg, The John Bishop Show and Jongleurs Live, will make an appearance.

Dan Nightingale, who started his comedy career in the North-East while living in Newcastle in 2002, will also take to the stage with his cutting observation, great gags and heartfelt ramblings.

And Glen Roughhead, a young, talented and charismatic singer-songwriter, and a member of the Geordie Rat Pack, will join host Jason Cook to add a musical touch to the evening.

The comedy night is showing in the main theatre at the Queen’s Hall at 8pm tonight .
