THE art group will meet in the community centre on Wednesday, November 25, from 6.30pm until 9.15pm. There is a fee for these sessions but it is a great way for participants to develop their artistic skills.
JOYCE will be hosting another quiz at the Haydonian Social Club on Friday, December 4, from 8.30pm.
THE very talented Bell family will be performing a Christmas Puppet Show at the Methodist Church on Sunday, December 6, from 2.30pm. The free show will run for approximately 40 minutes. Rereshments will be served after the show.
THE lighting of the village Christmas trees will be on Sunday, December 6, at 4pm, starting by the Anchor then moving on to Church Street. Look out for light refreshments and a pop up cafe at St Cuthbert’s.
SHAFTOE Trust Primary School will hold its Christmas fair on Friday, November 27, at 3.15pm. Everyone is welcome.
ON Monday, December 7, the Get It Together Society will be meeting in the Havelock from 7.45pm for their AGM.
VOLUNTEERS are needed to marshal whilst the fireworks are set up on New Year’s Eve for the display at midnight.
The Old Bridge has to be closed due to health and safety reasons. The New Bridge will be closed from 11.30pm so that it can be used for spectators.
