THE last day of the local artists’ exhibition in the community centre, showing off some of the amazing talent that exists in and around the village, is tomorrow when it will be open from 10am til 6pm.

TOMORROW all the hard work of Haydon Bridge Football Club will come to fruition with a day of fun and music at the Haydon Bridge Festival.

The event runs from 2pm until late, showcasing lots of local bands.

It all kicks off with Positive Vibes at 2pm and finishes with the energetic Pikey Beatz from 9.30pm.

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. ID will be needed for those old enough to drink but lucky enough to not look it!

Tickets are available from Claire’s Newsagents, The Anchor Hotel, The General Havelock and the Railway.

Ticket price includes two drink tokens and a commemorative glass. Under 16s get free entry between 2pm and 7pm.

Most importantly though it is all for good causes – the Stay Strong Stu campaign, The Cure Parkinson’s Trust, and Haydon Bridge Football Club will all benefit from the event.

THE Methodist Church still offers a warm welcome to those needing a cup of tea or coffee and a chat with friends, on Tuesday and Thursdays between 10am and noon. Everyone welcome.

ONE for the diary: The duck race will be taking place on Sunday, August 30 at 2pm.

The event will be sponsored by The Anchor Hotel.

If you would like to sponsor a duck, forms are available in Claire’s Newsagent. It’s only £2 per duck with Haydon Bridge Cricket Club and the playgroup being the beneficiary’s from this event.
