HAYDON Bridge’s summer festival has raised £2,500 for Tynedale Hospice at Home.

The music event, at the village’s Low Hall Park football ground in July, saw live bands perform, while real ales, wines and ciders were enjoyed by those who attended.

The festival aims to benefit charitable organisations and this year, proceeds went to the hospice, which supports people with life- limiting illnesses.

Avril Kirsopp, of the organising committee, said: “A lot of people attended the festival again this year, and it’s pleasing to report that their support has helped us raise such a lot of money for the hospice, which is an excellent cause.”

The Haydon Bridge Festival was re-launched in 2015.

The current organising committee is independent of the Haydon Hunt, which ran the festival before the re-launch.
