A RESIDENT says puddles on a Haydon Bridge street are restricting access to properties.

Lee Southern told the latest meeting of Haydon Parish Council that Parker’s Terrace was in desperate need of re-surfacing.

He said: “The puddles are wide and deep. You need Wellington boots in wet weather and you can’t get a wheelchair to the door.”

Chairing the meeting, Coun. Esmond Faulkes said the parish council would look into the issue.

He said that ownership of Parker’s Terrace, a back lane which runs off Church Street, is unknown, but the matter would be explored by councillors.
