THE countdown is on until Tynedale welcomes some of the world‘s best cyclists to the area.
To mark Sir Bradley Wiggins and a stellar cast of world class competitors heading to the district as part of the upcoming Aviva Tour of Britain, the Hexham Courant has given its windows a cycle-inspired makeover.
An event to be proud of, stage five of the tour will start at Prudhoe and end at Hartside on Thursday, September 10. It will pass through the communities of Stocksfield, Riding Mill and Hexham along the way, before passing the likes of Gilsland and Greenhead as riders head along the Military Road.
Don’t forget to check out our extensive preview of the event in next week‘s Hexham Courant.
