A NORTH Tyne farmer, who was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in February, has died.
Stu Ridley (25) of Shitlington Hall, Wark, took his last breath at midday, his family have confirmed.
In a Facebook post, his mother Celia wrote: “He was strong throughout his five month ordeal.
”We are immensely proud of him, he has been an absolute treasure and delight all of his short life.
“We cannot thank everyone enough for all of the support we have received.
”It has been a very hard but special time for us all.
“We have been lucky enough to say our goodbyes and are so thankful for that.
”Stu knew he was loved by everyone and that means such a lot.“
His diagnosis sparked an international fundraising campaign which has raised in excess of £108,000.
