A LARGE POTHOLE will be fixed imediately, a local council has confirmed.
After receiving numerous concerns about a pothole on Shaftoe Street in Haydon Bridge, Northumberland County Council has confirmed that there will be a 'full repair' on it today (Wednesday, April 10).
Resident's spotted the hole growing bigger yesterday morning (Tuesday, April 9) which led to a 'quick fix' by council workers to make it safe, but that was all they could do due to the high volume of rain.
A Northumberland County Council spokesperson said: “Yes we are aware of this pothole. Due to the high volume of rain on Tuesday it was made safe with a temporary repair and we will be carrying out a full repair on Wednesday with hot tar.”
