A potential prize pot of £61,000 is up for grabs at a riding challenge held at three venues.
British Eventing has launched the 2024 Northumberland Challenge at Belsay, Alnwick Ford, and Burgham International Horse Trials.
The challenge will include the CCI3*-S, CC2*-S and for the first time, the BE100 competitions across the three venues.
Belsay's event director, Laura de Wesselow said: "Our aim is to showcase our beautiful Northumbrian venues and attract top riders and grassroots competitors from all over the country."
Alnwick Ford and Burgham International event director, Craig Anderson, added: "There are not many other places where you can win really decent prize money at this level."
Lexi Hambro of Hambro Sport Horses described the challenge as "a great way of rewarding that talent," and Equestrian Eye’s Mark Gilbert hailed it as the "perfect space for us to promote our business".
Last year, Mark Davidson proved the Northumberland Challenge was achievable, collecting £7,000 with two wins in the CCI3*-S.
Mr Davidson said: "Winning the CCI3*-S at both Alnwick Ford and Burgham was a career highlight for me."
British Eventing’s CEO Rosie Williams said: "The Northumberland Challenge is a great way to promote our sport for the good of competitors and owners."
