A CHINESE takeaway has received a new food hygiene rating, according to the Food Standards Agency’s website.
Merton Way Chinese Takeaway, at 26 Merton Road, Ponteland, was given a score of four on January 18.

It means that of Northumberland's 288 takeaways with ratings, 213 (74 per cent) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
