Matfen’s High House Barn will transform into a magical Christmas wonderland from November 25.

High House Barn will invite children and their families into a festive extravaganza that promises memories to cherish beyond the holiday season.

The entire site will be bedecked with sparkling lights, ornaments, and festive decorations for a truly enchanting atmosphere.

Kirsty Anderson, joint owner of High House Barn, said: “We’re so excited about our brand-new Christmas family adventures.

"We know that High House Barn is already very popular with families and children who love the restaurant, tearoom, play area and activities barn as well as the wonderful farm walk through our woodland.

"We wanted to build on that to create an exciting day out over Christmas. We’re planning many different activities in our beautifully decorated buildings including a Santa’s grotto, music and dancing, a Christmas market, crafts and activities, visits from the Grinch, Santa’s elves, Mrs Claus and of course our delicious Christmas menu.

"We’ve been local residents for many years and have three young children, so we decided to organise an event that we knew we would want to visit – and something that was perfect for families in the area.

"We’ve been so grateful for the support we’ve received from those visiting High House Barn so far, and we’re hoping that this Christmas attraction will prove just as popular as our previous family events.”

Children will be welcomed by friendly Christmas elves, get the chance to decorate cookies with Mrs Santa, and meet Santa Claus himself in his charming grotto, where they'll receive a special gift.

There's also a sparkling, family-friendly show with a Frozen twist, featuring music, games, singing, and dancing.

For the creative spirits, an Elves workshop will offer a chance to make your own Christmas decorations.

A twinkling Christmas Market will additionally provide the opportunity to browse Christmas stalls, filled with seasonal gifts and presents.

Limited spaces are available and booking ahead is essential.
