Billy Mitchell, former Lindisfarne frontman, is set for a rare solo gig at Humshaugh Village Hall on November 30.
From founding seventies band Jack the Lad, spending half a lifetime with Maxie Peters as Maxie and Mitch, to presenting star-studded concerts for charities like ‘Sunday for Sammy’ and ‘Teenage Cancer Trust’, Billy has performed alongside music giants Roger Daltrey, Paul Weller, Jools Holland, Mark Knopler, Sting, and Brian Johnson.
Billy and Ray Laidlaw toured with 'The Lindisfarne Story, a show documenting the history of the band, and Billy also tours as one of 'The Pitmen Poets', a musical quartet celebrating the local mining industry and communities of Northumberland and Durham.
The November 30 performance, supported by Humshaugh's Dodgy B's, promises tunes and tales from Billy's illustrious career.
For tickets, which cost £14, visit Humshaugh Village Shop or the Eventbrite website.
