TWO people have been taken to hospital after suffering from serious injuries from a one-vehicle crash on Shepherd Terrace in Haltwhistle.
Emergency services arrived on the scene after 5pm on Monday, October 9 and found that the car had been overturned.
They re-opened the road shortly after the vehicle was recovered.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: “Shortly after 5pm yesterday (Monday), we received a report of a one-vehicle collision on Shepherd Terrace in Haltwhistle.
“It was reported that a vehicle had overturned.
“Emergency services attended the scene and the occupants – a man and a woman – were taken to hospital for treatment having suffered serious injuries in the collision.
“A section of the road which was closed to allow for recovery of the vehicle and re-opened a short time later.”
