A B&B owner's hard work recognised with a prestigious award.
Ian Dommett, who owns the Old School House B&B, in Fairfield, Haltwhistle with his wife, is thrilled to be awarded a VisitEngland ROSE Award 2023.
According to VisitEngland, the ROSE Awards recognise the accommodation providers across England who provide visitors with the warmest of welcomes.
ROSE is an acronym for 'Recognition Of Service Excellence' Awards praises accommodation businesses that truly go the extra mile for their guests.
Nominations are triggered following the annual VisitEngland quality assessment visit and observations by the assessor, but other evidence, including online customer reviews, are taken into account. The final judging panel also looks for innovation that sets the business apart. This includes facilities or services offered to make the customer’s stay really special.
Speaking about the achievement Ian said: “We’re delighted to win this award. We’re a new Bed and Breakfast and this is a wonderful acknowledgement of the hard work it takes to run a BnB. Our guests from all over the world love coming to this beautiful part of the country and we take get pleasure in hosting them and giving them the best experience we can.”
