A WELL-KNOWN children’s soft play has closed its doors unexpectedly.
Crackers Soft Play, on the Hadrian Business Park in Haltwhistle, ceased trading last week.
Customers took to social media to share the news, after some who had events booked with the soft play had been informed that they could no longer take place.
One parent, who had a birthday party booked, said she received an email on November 7, to say the business had closed.
Meanwhile, some members of staff said they had been made redundant on social media.
Customers shared their disappointment, crediting the staff and facilities at the soft play.
Families travelled from across the Tyne Valley and further afield to take their children to Crackers, with many choosing it over soft plays more local to them.
Raring2Go Northumberland also shared the news, saying on Facebook: “Really sorry to hear that Crackers Soft Play has ceased trading, thinking of all the staff at this very difficult time.”
It is unclear whether the owners plan to re-open in the future.
The owners at Crackers Soft Play were contacted for comment, but did not respond.
