POLICE are appealing for information about a vehicle that is believed to have been used in a burglary at Sainsbury's in Ponteland.
Officers discovered that a stolen Ford Transit van had been used in a burglary at Sainsbury's in Bell Villas at around 1.32am.
A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said: "At around 8.11am on Monday we received a report a vehicle had been stolen from outside an address in Kearton Avenue, Chapel Park.
"The theft is thought to have happened between the hours of 7pm on Sunday, October 21 and 8am this morning.
The vehicle was later found in Links Walk, West Denton after the burglary.
Enquiries into these incidents are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling 101.
