RESIDENTS in the small hamlet of Muggleswick were Dumbledore-struck to find that a new set of stamps links the location to Harry Potter.
The special set of stamps released by Royal Mail includes a golden snitch and Harry Potter logo, and links the hamlet to the Muggles which feature in J.K Rowling’s stories.
But some non-magic folk in the village have greeted the news with a reception frostier than Severus Snape’s glare.
Mike Seeley, chairman of Muggleswick Parish Council, said: “It’s not even in Harry Potter.
“We hope it doesn’t lead to us being inundated with thousands of tourists lining up to take pictures, because we don’t have any infrastructure.”
Others cast a Lumos spell to bring some light to the situation. The Rev. Helen Savage, of the local All Saints Church, said: “It would be great to have an influx of tourists here.
“It’s a really fun concept.”
