BIN collection days for residents in the district are set to change during the week of October 22.
Northumberland County Council has announced that 2,495 households in the Tynedale, North Northumberland and Castle Morpeth areas will be affected.
Following a detailed review, the council said the changes were necessary after an investment in new refuse vehicles and staff.
Coun. Glen Sanderson, cabinet member for environment and local services, said: “We have a new fleet of cleaner, greener refuse vehicles, and with the number of homes increasing in the county it was necessary to invest in two additional vehicles and staff.”
