YOUNG singing star Courtney Hadwin has finished in sixth place in the final of America's Got Talent.
14-year-old Courtney, who has been doing vocal coaching at Julie Miles' Vocal Ovation studio in High Mickley for three years, failed to make the top five on Wednesday night's results show.
Courtney appeared on the first night of the two-night final on Tuesday, where she concluded her performances on the show with a powerful performance of the Tina Turner classic 'River Deep - Mountain High'.
It was Canadian-American magician Shin Lim that was crowned the winner of the talent show.
But despite disappointing news for Courtney, host Tyra Banks told her: "This is just the beginning, you should be so proud."
