Two crashes within hours at Chollerford
EMERGENCY services were called to two crashes which happened within hours of each other at Chollerford on Wednesday morning.
A man and woman were taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries after a crash between a car and a lorry on the B6318 Brunton Bank at 10.16am.
A police spokeswoman said the road was closed in both directions at the junction of the A6079.
Local diversions were put in place whilst the road was cleared.
Police also received a report of a two-vehicle crash on the B6318 Brunton Bank at 7.45am.
Emergency services attended the scene but nobody was believed to be seriously injured.
